An activity is anything you want to add to your to-do list that helps you keep your things well. You can add any activity you want for any item in Upkeepr. Your activities are organized by completion status and appear on the activity page in three columns: To Do, In Progress, and Done. Activities in each column are listed in chronological order. Activities without a due date appear at the bottom of the list.
Caution: Activities are associated with Items, so you’ll need to create a new item before you can schedule an activity associated with that item. Click here to learn more about adding items.
Note: You can click on the Cancel button on any pop-up window to cancel your action and go back to the previous screen.
Select Activities from the top menu bar.
Click on the blue +Activity button on the upper right side of the screen to add a new activity. A new screen appears so you can fill in details about your new activity. See below.
Click on the Item field to identify the item with which the activity is associated. A drop down menu appears and you can select your item from the list. This is a required field. If you do not see your item listed, you’ll need to create the item in Upkeepr before you can schedule an activity for it.
Type the name of the activity in the Activity Name field and press enter. For example, if it is time for an oil change on your vehicle, you can type Change Oil. This is a required field. Tab to the next field.
Enter a brief description of the activity. Here you can add details associated with the activity. For example, you may want to record the brand name and type of oil you use in your vehicle.
Click in the Add Photo box. A Windows file manager window appears. Find a photo related to the activity that you are scheduling and click on it. The file name appears in the field at the bottom of the window. Click the Open button. The photo appears in the photo box. You can add as many photos as you want. Just click in the box again to add another photo.
Click on the Due Date field. There are three options at the top of the window, Once, Recurring, and Scheduled. The default setting is Once, which allows you to set a due date for only one occurrence of the activity. Recurring allows you to set a regularly scheduled recurrence and an end date for the activity, such as every two weeks after completion for the next four months. Scheduled lets you choose multiple dates on which to complete the activity. For example, you may want to fertilize your lawn on April 5th, June 30th, and September 16th.
To schedule only one occurrence of an activity, simply click on the Due Date field. A calendar appears. Navigate through the calendar with the right and left chevrons. Select a date from the calendar or simply fill in the due date field at the top of the screen (yyyy/mm/dd) and click on the OK button. Upkeepr will add this activity to your chronological list of activities on the Activity page.

Once you’ve scheduled your Due Date, you will return to the Create New Activity screen. See below.
Due Date colors:
Due dates appear in one of three colors.
Orange – Due in the next 7 days.
Blue – Due in more than 7 days.
Red – Past due.
If you’ve scheduled a recurring activity, the Recurring indicator will be blue instead of gray.
The completion status of every new activity defaults to To Do. Click on the Status field to see the three options available in the drop down menu. Change the status to In Progress when you begin your activity. Change it to Done when you’ve completed the activity. The activities page will display the activity in one of the three columns based on the completion status.
When an activity’s Status is marked Done, the Completed Date is automatically set to the present day. To change the Completed Date, click on the Completed Date field. Select a date from the calendar or enter a date into the field at the top of the screen. Click OK to save the change.
When you have finished entering your information, click on the Save button on the top right of the screen. Your new activity will appear in one of the columns on the activity page, in accordance with the completion Status set.
